I never liked the idea of "Colonize Taiwan" as a mission, as that would generally require a colonist (as it does now) and I don't like the idea of colonizing Ming. One main thing I wanted to suggest that is different from many suggestions I've seen is the matter of Taiwan. Not quite as extensive, but I also thought about giving them a unique Inward Perfection privilege I had my own ideas for a Ming mission tree.
#NEW MING FREE#
I hope you liked this post, and feel free to add any suggestions you have! Currently I'm working on implementing this tree with actual triggers and rewards, and I also want to add some mechanics to encourage a faster Chinese unification after Mingsplotion, as well as more mission trees for Chinese satetes. Also, even if the AI was able to complete some missions, the would be stuck in "The Mandate of Heaven", because as far as I have seen in a lot of games, AI Ming will never unite China.
#NEW MING HOW TO#
These are things that the AI just doesn't know how to handle. This will reward you with an event that changes all their governments to monarchies, so that you are safe from the "Unguarded Nomadic Frontier Disaster"Īfter this, you might think: Well the AI is going to follow this tree and be OP! My response: It is very unlikely, because most of the top missions require improving development, owning crownland, and having strong relations with subjects.

"The Mandate of Heaven" mission works similar as the already existing in-game, but not that drastic: You need to own all of China after the age of Discovery (Currently is after age of Discovery AND Reformation, which is a bit drastic)."Build canals" and "Curb the eunuchs" missions grant some help later on (through reduced penalties events, for example) when the disaster "Crisis of the Ming Dynasty" fires. The "Repair the Great Wall" and "The Forbidden City" missions require to take those decisions, and do a few other things so that the AI can't complete it instantly.None of these missions grant permanent claims, instead focus on having trbutaries in such regions (This tree might only be available with Mandate of Heaven DLC).I know the scroll bar looks horrible, Idk how does it, but using paint is also fun!.
